Puppy Information

Osketra puppies are produced from fully health tested parents who have superb temperaments. They are Kennel Club registered and parents have hip and elbow scores well below the breed average.

Osketra puppies are raised on a RAW diet of meat and bones which we strongly encourage new owners to continue with. You will be provided with a few days worth of food along with a comprehensive and easy to follow diet sheet as well as a raw feeding book.

Those prepared to feed a RAW diet will be given priority.

The puppies are whelped in the house and will be used to every day noises.
They are very well socialised with people, children and other animals.

All Osketra puppies will have their KC Registrations endorsed with:

'R' - progeny not available for registration
'X'- not available for export registration

This is to prevent indiscriminate breeding, Osketra puppies are for pet homes only, no breeders.

If at any time you need to rehome your Osketra pup or dog whatever it's age, then it must be returned to me the breeder, this will be stated in your puppy contract which will need to be signed to say that you understand the above stipulations.
This is to safe guard any Osketra pups ending up in rehoming kennels and to protect the future of the breed.

I will be available throughout the pup's life for help and advice.

If you are interested in one of my puppies then please contact me in the first instance telling me about yourself, your homelife, garden, your working arrangements, any children you may have now or plan for in the future. Also please include whether you have owned a dog before and your understanding of the German Shepherd as a breed and what sort of life you can offer one of my puppies.
I have very strict criteria when it comes to finding homes for my puppies and preference is given to experienced, active homes. Please note, if you have never owned a dog before I will need to be satisfied that you fully understand the commitment needed for owning a working breed and that you will be prepared to go to training classes for the first year. It is highly unlikely I would be prepared to sell a puppy to people with children under five due to the demands involved. I will not home one of my puppies to anyone who works full time.

I recommend that you do some research into natural feeding using the links provided on the RAW feeding page.
